Valentina Fedeneva (Soprano)

Valentina Fedenyova graduated from the Donetsk Musical School as a clarinet player in 2001. In 2007, she graduated from the Vocal Department of the Donetsk Musical Academy. In 2006, she became a soloist of the Donetsk Opera Theatre, where she performed Papagena and the First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. At the Donetsk Opera Theatre, she also performed Leonora (Verdi’s Il trovatore), Mimì (Puccini’s La Bohème), Liu (Puccini’s Turandot), Micaëla (Bizet’s Carmen), Iolanta (Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta), Tatiana (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin). In 2010, she performed Dezdemona in Verdi’s Otello at the “Golden Crown” International Opera Festival. The same year, she joined the Bolshoi Theatre Young Artists Opera Program. In 2011, she became a guest soloist with the Bolshoi Opera Company. At the Bolshoi Theatre, she performs the First Lady in Die Zauberflöte and Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen. In 2014–2016, she participated in the concerts Young Voices of the Bolshoi Theatre under the baton of Tugan Sokhiev. In 2014, she joined the St Petersburg Chamber Opera Theatre. In 2016, she made her debut with the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus as Iolanta. Since 2014, she has regularly participated in the Christmas Opera Forums organized by the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. She has toured to Austria, Germany, Spain, Estonia, France, Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia.

The singer’s repertoire also includes Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust, Mercedes in Carmen, the Countess in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Violetta in Verdi’s La traviata, Giannetta in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Hanna Glawari in Lehár’s Die lustige Witwe, Silva in Kalman’s Silva, Teodora in Kalman’s Die Zirkusprinzessin, Hélène in Offenbach’s La belle Hélène, as well as soprano parts in Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, and chamber vocal pieces.

Since 2015, Valentina Fedenyova has been a guest soloist with the Mikhailovsky Opera. At the Mikhailovsky Theatre, she performs Nedda in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte.
