Viktor Korotich (Baritone)
• Honoured Artist of the Republic of Northern Osetia-Alania • Prize-winner and diploma-winner of international vocal competitions
Born in Nizhnevartovsk. In 2005 he graduated from the Prokofiev Academy of Music in Donetsk (class of Professor Gennady Kalikin, People’s Artist of Ukraine). From 2002 to 2007 he was a soloist at the Solovyanenko Opera and Ballet Theatre in Donetsk. Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers since 2007. Joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 2015.

He was the first performer of the role of Chertokutsky (The Carriage), staged as part of a music festival commemorating two centuries since the birth of Nikolai Gogol (2009), and the roles of Alexander I, Nicholas I in the world premiere of Rodion Shchedrin's opera The Lefthander, staged at the Mariinsky Theatre in 2013. Diploma-winner of competition Theatrical Mask Ossetia for the role of Escamillo in the opera Carmen (2010).
Participant at the Operalia competition for young opera singers, established by Plácido Domingo.
Has toured with the Mariinsky Opera to Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland in addition to appearances at the Moscow Easter Festival (2008, 2009).
