Honoured Artist of Russia.
Born in Pustoshka (Pskov Region). Graduated from the Leningrad
Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 1992 (solo singing class of Nikolai
Alexeyev). From 1989–1992 he was a solo vocalist at the Musical
Theatre of the Conservatoire, while from 1992–1998 he performed at
the Syktyvkar Theatre of Opera and Ballet. It was there that Alexander
Bayron was awarded the title of People’s Artist of the Komi Republic.
In 1997 he was invited to join the St Petersburg Theatre of
Musical Comedy where he made his debut as Edwin in Kбlmбn’s operetta
Die Csбrdбsfьrstin. Today his repertoire includes Edwin
(Die Csбrdбsfьrstin), Mr X
(Die Zirkusprinzessin), Sandor (Die Herzogin von
Chicago), Count Danilo (Die Lustige Witwe), Lбszlу Illйshбzy
(Baroness Lili), Member of the Tango Show (Tango Dream),
Calicot (Madame Pompadour), Nasoni (Gasparone), Fred Graham
(Kiss Me, Kate), Falke (Die Fledermaus) and Fagin
(Oliver! ).
Has also worked at the Zazerkalye St Petersburg Children’s
Music Theatre since 2002.
On 28 February 2011 the actor received the audience prize from
the St Petersburg Audience Society Teatral for his
achievements over the course of 2010 in the category “Best
Male Role in a Musical Production”, in particular for
the role of Fagin in Lionel Bart’s musical Oliver!
In November 2011 Alexander Bayron received a Golden
Sofit, St Petersburg’s most prestigious theatre prize,
in the category “Best Male role in Operetta and Musical” for his
performance of the role of Fagin in Lionel Bart’s musical Oliver!
