Anna Kiknadze was born in Tbilisi. She graduated from the Tbilisi State
Saradzhishvili Conservatoire in 1999. In 1997 as a fourth-year student she was
invited to join the Tbilisi Paliashvili Opera House, where her repertoire
included Lyubasha (The Tsar’s Bride) and Carmen (Carmen). In 2001, she
represented Georgia at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition and was a
finalist. Twenty-five singers chosen from auditions throughout the world take
part in the competition. Each country may forward just one singer, and just five
performers take part in the final. Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of
Young Singers from 2000. Joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 2009.
