Maria Fedotova (Flute)

From the age of 9 Maria Fedotova gave her first solo concerts together with the Chamber Orchestra of Mariinsky Theatre. In 1996 she graduated from St. Petersburg Conservatory and finished assistance work in the class of A.Vavilina - Mravinskaya.
Since 1991 Maria Fedotova is a soloist of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio (Chief Conductor Vladimir Fedosejev). The press has many times praised her solo in the orchestra.
As a soloist she has appeared with the biggest Philharmonic orchestras of Russia: St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnoyarsk. She played with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio in Great Britain (Mozart, Concert C-Dur), Latin America (J. S. Bach, Suite h-molt), Austria (the premier of Chr. Rouse "Concerto"), Russia (A. Vasilenko, Suite).
She performed with the famous musicians like Yuri Bashmet, Tatiana Grindenko, etc. Since 1997 she has invited for the artistic collaboration with maestro Gidon Kremer: festivals in Gstaad, Switzerland (1997, 1998), Lokkenhaus, Austria (1998, 2000), recordings of the CD by Astora Piazzola "Tango operita" and concerts with this work in Europe, USA and Japan (l998, 1999) and production in Vienna and Bregenz music festivals. At the 2000 she participated in tours with Gidon Kremer and "Kremerata Baltica": Italy and Germany (J.S. Bach "Musikalische Opfer"), Russia and Germany (premiere of Kanchelli "Chilhood revisited").
She gave her solo concerts at the International festival in St. Mauritz (1999). At the International Youth festival in Kaunas (Lithuania) Maria Fedotova conducted the Master Classes.
Maria Fedotova is an active soloist performing with different chamber ensembles. Her repertory includes works of different genres, starting with baroque and coming to vanguard masters, from classical through modem music for the flute.
