Sergei Cherepanov (Organist)
Sergej TCHEREPANOV was born in Kasachstan (Sowiet Union) 1967. Studied musics in Moscow at the Tchaikowsky-Conservatorium. Among his teachers were Prof. Victor Merzhanow (Piano) and Natalia Gureewa (Organ). He took part in masterclasses for Organ and Harpsichord, performed ancient music with Alexei Lubimow and baroque-ensembles, worked for Organperfornance with Alexander Fiseisky. In 1996, he followed organstudies at the Music Academy in Lьbeck with Prof. Martin Haselbцck and in Hamburg 2000-2002 with Prof. Wolfgang Zerer. Focussing on the perfornance of Baroque Music on historical keyboard instruments, he took part in masterclasses with Andrea Marcon, Harald Vogel and Martin Bцcker (Stade, Germany). Prizes: "Possehl-Prize" in Lьbeck 1997, special Prize in Pretoria 1998, "Fugato"- Prize (Bad Homburg, Germany) 1999, Prize from "Arp-Schnitger-Gesellschaft" 2000. S.T. was Organist on the Arp-Schnitger-Organ in Steinkirchen ( Altes Land, Germany), now teaching Organ at the Lьbeck Music Academy.
