Yekaterina Goncharova is a graduate of the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire. Since 2009 she has been a soloist with the St Petersburg Conservatoire Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2008 she appeared in a concert performance of the opera Carmen under the baton of Mariss Jansons as Micaëla. In October 2010 she made her debut at the Philharmonie in Cologne in a concert with Montserrat Caballé. In the 2011–2012 season she made her Mariinsky Theatre debuts as Tatiana (Eugene Onegin) and Micaëla (Carmen). Has toured throughout Russia, Spain and Poland (in a production of the opera War and Peace by the Mariinsky Theatre at the Warsaw State Opera).
Yekaterina Goncharova joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 2012.
